How to Install a Soundproof ceiling: Lose as little as 6mm ceiling height! DIY ceiling soundproofing has never been so easy and effective. Do It Yourself installation can be done easily if you are a hands on sort of person. A full isolated floating sound proof ceiling is now possible whilst only losing as little as 6mm ceiling height making it perfect for basement soundproofing. Many soundproofing products are unsuitable for basement soundproofing due to the amount of ceiling height lost. The Iso-Mount acoustic hangers or isolation mounts are designed to be installed on the side of the joist which significantly reduces this.

When complete, the ceiling will appear as a conventional plaster ceiling. Wall system also available.
