Tomos APN a 50cc moped engine working model

This small motorbike two stroke engine from 1975 has 5 gears and 50cc (in stead of the official 49,9cc) which made it not a moped but officially a motor. OHOooooh, that's against the rules! To avoid getting caught by the police I put a relay in the frame with a hidden switch to make a restart impossible once switched off. Only, it often got rusty and stopped the moped from running and even worse; I never was checked by any police officer once! The original moped design comes from PUCH in Austria their model MV50, which by accident got allowed to be resold abroad from Yugoslavia. And we in NL were/are very happy with that :-)
After I bought my first real motorbike, this engine was totall loss and I made this model from it allready 23 years ago. In june 2012 'Lassie995" left me this nice piece of extra information:

Great job with cutaway, it is very useful as there are many bikes with this engine.
This type of engine is in production from 1969, and they still make it for Tomos APN 6. More than one million has been made. It is factory prepared to have 3-5 gears and various cylinders with power from 2.5 HP (tomos 4l, Tomos APN) to 10HP (tomos cross senior).
