I've wanted to do another video on Elrond & Celebrian for a while, because they're just so tragic and lovely - and so here we are.

Many of these shots are also AI as well; I use a mix of midjourney to make the base images, and then Kling to animate them. I know that scares a lot of folks, and I certainly don't plan to do this for most videos; I just have a lot of fun being able to explore the stories we've not seen on-screen.

And on that note - I hope you guys enjoy!

Also as a PS - i may have some of the exact lore messed up in the audio narration. Like i know elrond isnt the one who finds her after being tortured by orcs - but hey, i think we can live a little for the angst, right?

STORY, for those curious: 👇
For those who don't know the story, Celebrian is not in the films - but she's Galadriel and Celeborn's daughter, and also the mother of Arwen - and her two twin brothers Elrohir and Elladan, who also aren't in the films. Celebrian visits Rivendell at some point, and Elrond falls in love with her - though he keeps his feelings in secret for a while. Eventually though, they marry, have their children, and experience peace for a time. Celebrian would visit her parents in Lothlorien on occasion, and during one instance - when she takes the mountain pass, her company is scattered. Orcs find them and capture her. She is tortured and wounded. Her sons find her and take her back to Rivendell where Elrond heals her; but her mind was still tormented, and she could not find peace afterwards. It is because of this that she eventually departs middle earth to go to the Undying Lands, leaving behind her husband, children, and her parents.

I think this story is so sad, and yet a beautiful one too. I am sad to not see Elrond experience this kind of love in the films - but also that we never quite make the connection between Galaldriel and him, or even Galadriel and Arwen - as they're directly related! This is also why rings of power makes me want to throw up when I see them having Galadriel and Elrond kiss - regardless if its a war tactic or not. Still, maybe someday this story will get made into a true film. I personally would be overjoyed, if done well.
