How To Make Your Blues Sound Bluesier | Bending the Overblows and Overdraws

Описание к видео How To Make Your Blues Sound Bluesier | Bending the Overblows and Overdraws

If you love playing Blues on a diatonic harmonica, you might be surprised to find that you can bend more notes than you thought were possible on a standard-tuned harp. In this video, I explain how overblows work, and show you how to bend them to make your Blues even bluesier!

Overblows and Overdraws add 7 notes that can’t be played using standard techniques of blowing, drawing, and bending. And they are also flexible- you can bend them up past their default pitches a little or a lot, depending on how the reeds are adjusted.

To learn more about these techniques and everything else about the harmonica, check out my school: https://artistworks.com/harmonica-les...

The harmonica I use in this video:
Hohner Golden Melody (Progressive) in C, which I adjusted to get overblows/overdraws to play more easily.
