Tannus Tires: User Review and Removal

Описание к видео Tannus Tires: User Review and Removal

This is a review of puncture proof Tannus tires (size 700x40) I've been using on my Cannondale Quick Disk 2 commuter bike for a few months. It is based on my personal experience with these tires on this bike.

Pros: No more flats.

Cons:
- Terrible rolling resistance: For me (a 200lb rider) I experienced a 20% increase in ride time. My 15 mile commute that takes an hour on regular tires takes 20 to 25 min longer on these Tannus tires.

- Poor handling: Low grip makes these tires slippery in the corners under normal circumstances. I did not feel comfortable riding them in wet conditions.

- Difficult to install & remove: It took me about 2 hours to install both tires, and 30 min to remove them.

- Expensive: All in with shipping and tax two tires cost me $175. A lot of money for the worst performing tires I've ever used.

- No customer support: I contacted Tannus about my concerns, and was ghosted.

After the review, I show my experience with removing the Tannus tires (starting at 3:35) to replace them with Continental Top Contact 700x28s.
