California High-Speed Rail #19 Round 2 Part 2 Complete Drone Coverage Allensworth to Cross Creek

Here is Part 2 of Round 2 of my Every Inch CHSR construction drone coverage from the end of CP 4 near Allensworth to the Cross Creek Viaduct.

I was hoping to make it all the way to about Idaho Avenue. Trying to make it that far in one day, I learned of a new limitation, my controller battery. I have six 249g drone batteries with two fast charger banks. I can fly non-stop with that set-up, when including the drive time between launch points. My new limitation is my controller battery. My first launch by CP 4 was at 9:41am and my last launch, just before Cross Creek was at 2:41pm. I was charging the controller between launches but it does not seem to accept a fast charge. The controller is actually pretty heavy compared to the drone. I think it has a pretty beefy battery and it is not swappable. After flying over Cross Creek, I had one blinking battery level light left on my controller and I decided to stop.

I shot this footage on Thursday. Like I hoped, there was plenty of worker activity. There was activity on most all the viaducts and canal realignments but the very busy working area was Avenue 88. They were working on the earthwork going over the overpass and all my fellow truck drivers were bringing in a whole lot of soil under the overpass.

This is the first video that I am editing in a side by side video of the last time I came through here. This first video will be a little wonky. The first time I filmed through here, I was flying the opposite direction and I was a little orbit happy :) After Hanford Viaduct, at least the flight directions will be the same. Then on Round 3 ALL the flight directions will be the same as well as the flight style.

Lastly, I would like to apologize to every one about my music tracks being so loud in the past. The music does start from a website called Loudly :| This video and all future videos will be normalized to -9db. It was actually very easy to do in my super duper high dollar video editing software that I barely know how to use :)
