FIRST LOOK - 1967 Chevrolet Yenko Super Camaro 427/450 - BARRETT-JACKSON SCOTTSDALE 2022

This first-year Yenko Super Camaro 450 is pure American supercar royalty. Bearing Yenko serial number YS-725, it began as a rare (one of 1,138 built) RPO L78 396/375hp car with a Muncie M21 close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission, finished in Code EE Deepwater Blue Poly paint with Code 760-Z black standard bucket seats, as documented by Camaro expert Jerry MacNeish. Following shipment to Yenko Chevrolet, it was upgraded to full Super Camaro 427/450hp standard for $677.27; the car was completed on July 18, 1967. A copy of a handwritten Yenko invoice on file and available for inspection lists the many upgrades, including metallic brakes, heavy-duty clutch and pressure plate, high-capacity cooling system, a Stewart Warner tachometer and instrument package, a fiberglass hood, Traction Master traction bars, tuned headers and "427" emblems. Documents include the detailed MacNeish appraisal, COPO Connection and Camaro Hi-Performance LLC Certificates of Authenticity, copies of the Yenko conversion and dealer invoices, a copy of the original shipping record, an NCRS Shipping Data Report and letter from the original owner. Listed in the Yenko Supercar Registry, this Super Camaro retains its original VIN plate and hidden VIN cowl stamping, which were verified by MacNeish, and it also has been inspected and affirmed authentic by original Yenko mechanic Warren Dernoshek.
