Meet our new arrival Ember the red panda! Isn't she adorable? Watch this video to see this beautiful creature in her new habitat and read below for some amazing red panda facts.

She is the small furry symbol of hope for the charity zoo, which has been under TB restrictions since August 2017, and shares her enclosure with male red panda, Randy.

The red panda, also goes by the names of the lesser panda, the red bear-cat, and the red cat-bear and is a mammal native to the Eastern Himalayas and South Western China.

Red pandas are Endangered due to direct harvest from the wild, live or dead (hunting), competition with domestic livestock resulting in habitat degradation, and deforestation resulting in habitat loss or fragmentation.
