My Artifact, Episode 359
Is Making Money Really That Difficult?
Hello! This is my Artifact, episode number 359.
Today’s date is July 29, 2025, and it’s currently 8:10 a.m.
The weather is cloudy—bitterly cloudy, actually. It’s nice, but I haven’t seen the sun since last week, probably because of the constant rain.

Jumping Into the Question
Let’s get straight to it. The question today is:
Do you believe that making money is difficult?
I would say yes. Right now, I’m not earning any money, but I do hope to earn a significant amount in the future. The effort I’m putting in feels massive, yet the returns are zero.
If I rate my effort as 10 out of 10, the money I get is 0 out of 10. But in the future, maybe I’ll put in 2 out of 10 effort and earn 10 out of 10 in return. That’s how I see the connection between money and work.

My Job Experience
Let’s go back to my past jobs.
In 2018, I was earning only 8,000 rupees a month. Later, I joined another company and earned about 15,000. At that time, even 15,000 felt small.
Now, imagine a job today that pays 20,000 to 25,000 rupees—it would still feel inadequate with current expenses.
I worked almost 10 years in my previous company. My salary slowly went from 25,000 to 35,000, and eventually to 40,000 rupees. Did that feel like a big financial success? Honestly, no. For seven years, I was stuck at 25,000, and even after increases, the rewards didn’t feel equal to the effort.
So yes, from my perspective, earning money is difficult.

Why Do Some Earn More?
The relationship with money is complex. Some people earn huge amounts, while others, despite working just as hard—or harder—don’t. Why does this happen?
It reminds me of the stock market. Ten years ago, Apple shares were cheap. Today, they’ve grown massively. That’s the effect of time and consistency. Not every company grows like that—some fail completely—but the long game is what matters.

The Apple Example
Apple is a great example of long-term thinking.
They didn’t chase quick profits. They focused on innovation and quality, making sure their products stayed relevant for years.
Take the iPhone 6S—it’s still functional today. Apple even delayed adopting USB-C chargers until they were absolutely sure about its effectiveness.
Meanwhile, other companies rush into trends just to make fast money. But Apple built a reputation and consistent value, which led to massive financial growth.

Linking This to Money
Earning money works the same way. It’s not about quick results—it’s about providing value and staying consistent.
Whenever you buy something, you’re exchanging money for value. And when you work, you’re offering your skills and time in exchange for a salary.
If the money you’re making doesn’t feel enough, maybe the real question is: What value am I offering?
Everyone has unique skills. The key is to find ways to turn those skills into something valuable for others.

My Conclusion
Right now, yes, earning money feels difficult. But I believe that if I stay consistent, focus on the long-term game, and provide real value, I will eventually achieve my financial goals.
Thank you for listening!
