We offer a proprietary, simple, office-based procedure to treat the symptoms of chronic pelvic pain. The PRM Protocol™ consists of a series of pelvic nerve and muscle treatments to directly target inflammation in the pelvis and nerve pain. Depending on the condition causing your pelvic pain, other modalities may be needed in addition to our treatment.

My name is Dr. Obzejta and I am the pelvic pain specialist and endometriosis expert here at PRM Los Angeles, California.

Chronic pelvic pain has several causes. However, endometriosis is one of the top and we see it here in clinic all the time. We can help patients manage that pain by getting the muscles and the nerves to be restored to their optimal state and environment. A lot of times we'll see patients before having surgery and we do recommend pre habbing the pelvis in that case.

So what that essentially means is getting the nerves and the muscles to an optimal environment. So after having surgery, they bounce back much quicker since everything's already in the optimal state.

Education is key because I find that when patients understand where their pain is stemming from and why they're feeling what they're feeling and why nothing has really worked, that treatment is easier. The protocol we do with the injection series, the medication, physical therapy, it all seems like a lot, but once we start to understand why each component is necessary, it's a breeze.

During a patient visit, we do take a very thorough history and also do a very thorough physical exam to see what muscles and nerves are being affected and which ones need to be really focused on. During the visit, I always make sure to educate. I really want my patients to know what's going on with their bodies.

What makes us different here is that we're treating the issue. We're not just covering up the pain. We want to treat those muscles. We want to treat those nerves so they can go back to their optimal environment and optimal functioning state. So you can be pain free for a long period of time and not rely on medications to cover up that pain.

If you've struggled with chronic pelvic pain and haven't found any answers, reach out to us. We do free 15 minute consults and I'm happy to talk to you directly about what you've been through, what you've tried, and if we can help you.
