বরিশাল জেলার বাকেরগঞ্জে রাঙামাটি নদীর ওপর নির্মাণাধীন গোমা সেতুর পিলারের ওপরের অংশে বড় ধরনের ফাটল দেখা গেছে। প্রায় ৭০ কোটি ৫০ লাখ টাকা ব্যয়ে নির্মাণাধীন সেতুর স্থায়িত্ব নিয়ে অনিশ্চয়তা দেখা দিয়েছে। বরিশালের কাউয়ারচর, দিনারেরপুল-লক্ষীপাশা-পটুয়াখালী জেলা আঞ্চলিক সড়কে বাকেরগঞ্জ উপজেলার, দুধল ও চরাদী ইউনিয়নের গোমা পয়েন্টে রাঙ্গামাটি নদীর ওপর সেতুটি নির্মাণ হচ্ছে। উপজেলার মানুষের উন্নত যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা নিশ্চিত করার লক্ষ্যে রাঙামাটি নদীর ওপর এ সেতু নির্মাণের উদ্যোগ নেওয়া হয়। সেতু ও সড়ক বিভাগের অধীনে ঠিকাধারি প্রতিষ্ঠান এম খান গ্রুপ সেতুটির কাজ করছে।
