Laws and definitions being written into law, such as Digital ID and Islamophobia, are being rammed through Parliament. The government claim they have a 'manifesto for change.' No such thing exists as manifestos are clear policies put to the people at election time. The current gang in charge is pushing through radical policies that never appeared on any manifesto, and this is becoming tyrannical rule. The Salisbury Convention put in place after World War 2 saw the House of Lords drop any challenges to Bills that had been put forward in the winning party's manifesto. Now, important Bills not on the winner's manifesto are coming thick and fast, and they threaten the very survival of our ramshackle democracy. Veterans and the people of this country need to push back and take control of our laws, ensuring the consent of the government.
