A Game Of Numbers

Taking its name from the pancha nadais: five basic jatis (rhythmic beats), 28 celebrates the beauty of symmetry, geometry and proportion in art and nature.

Artistic Director Mrs Santha Bhaskar draws inspiration from Da Vinci’s The Vitruvian Man, the Golden Ratio and the Fibonacci sequence. With the help of the collaboration with the NUS Mathematics department, she was able to express these mathematical patterns through richly-textured visuals and original music in an evening of alluring classical Indian dance.
