Alfalfa Gold! First Cut DONE, Second Begins!
The heat has been relentless, and the storms keep threatening—but we’re still powering through at Ewetopia Farms! In this episode, we bring you along for several jam-packed days in the hay fields. Despite constant delays from looming thunderstorms (that never seem to bring rain), we manage to finish baling all our first-cut hay—a major accomplishment during these challenging weather conditions.

Unlike most years, when we wrap most of our bales, this year we're switching gears and focusing on dry hay production, which is more economical and better for long-term storage. But finding indoor space to store it all? That’s another challenge!

The real reward comes at the end when we cut our stunning second-cut alfalfa crop—a thick, lush field of high-protein feed that’s absolute gold for our sheep. It's moments like these that remind us why we do this. The farm life may be hard, but when the fields give back, it’s all worth it.
