One of the most dangerous roads in Laos...
The 9 km Climb is a narrow winding road that climbs the steep mountains between Vang Vieng and LuangPrabang in Northern Laos. With very few trees or vegetation these mountains are very prone to landslides during the wet season and has caught out many unwary drivers and closed the road many times in it's short life. It is only relatively new...about 4-5 years old cutting off about 2 hours from the old route but is in bad need of repair already...
