Hawaiiʻs safest hike turned to a perilous journey down to the tidepools.
I do not recommend this route for beginner hikers like me. One slip could lead you to fall on sharp rocks or be swept to the ocean by white wash.
Stick to the trail! We almost got swept to sea. I lost my pair of crocs slippers to the ocean.
Hiking back up the rocky mountain barefoot was equivalent to a walk of shame. Never again.
