How To Clean Your Horse Brushes - So Easy!

Описание к видео How To Clean Your Horse Brushes - So Easy!

Hi everyone! I have a question for you...have you ever cleaned your horse brushes? If you haven't, you should!
It is really easy to clean your horse grooming brushes. All you need is some warm water and dish soap. I don;t think the type of soap you choose to use matters, as long as you use a liquid soap. In this video, I used the dish soap that we had on hand and it worked great. If you want to use human shampoo, that should be fine too. But you don't have to buy fancy "brush cleaning solutions" just use whatever you have right now.
I cleaned my brushes in my kitchen sink, and then just cleaned the sink with comet when I was done, for sanitary reasons.
Before I even brought the brushes inside, I ran a curry comb over the brushes to get some of the dirt, hair and dust out. And then I brought them inside.
I filled up the sink with warm water and added a little bit of liquid dish soap. Then I used my horse hairbrush, which looks a lot like the hair brush I use on myself! And I ran that brush through the bristles of the brushes to get the dirt and grime off of the bristles.
Don't use too much soap, just a little bit goes a very long way!
After the brushes were clean, I rinsed them with warm water and set them on their bristles to dry.
It ended up being a nice sunny day, so I took the brushes back outside to dry in the sun for a couple of hours.
It didn't take too long for the brushes to dry out in the sun. And when I was done, I had a bunch of nice clean brushes, ready to get dirty again!
You guys, this is SOOOOO easy! SO if you have some down time, why not wash your horse brushes? It will make your brushes last longer, and also make your grooming easier because you won't be transferring the dirt and grim from one part of your horse to the other!
