VIDEO DESCRIPTION - This painting tutorial will take you through easy to follow, step-by-step instructions on how to paint this seasonal animal landscape image of "BUTTERFLY BIRCH TREE" with acrylic paint. You'll learn simple painting techniques that will help you to develop a realistic country meadow with a tall white birch tree that has autumn foliage and inspirational Monarch Butterflies flying out of it. The change of seasons from summer to fall brings along a change in the color of leaves in certain trees and bushes in different regions of the world. In this painting you will learn how to create a representational image with the iconic yellow leaf colors of the imposing grand birch trees, as well as, an impressionistic display of a flock of butterflies that is flying out of the branches and into the bright light of the sunshine. Using a gradient blending technique we'll create a background for the scene that provides an enchanted atmospheric dimension to the depth of the sky and land, which also provides good visual balance throughout the design. This painting is created in an impressionistic surreal style using a stippling technique for much of the foliage and land, an easy blending process for the sky and tree trunk, and a carefree approach to the small detail work on the butterfly wings and tree bark, which will provide a realistic visual affect. You could use your imagination to customize this image to represent a different type of tree, such as oak, pine, poplar, beech, maple or dogwood. You could also change the butterflies to be ones from your imagination, or you could change the color of the background to appear more like a sunset or sunrise. You'll learn how to paint this landscape image filled with crisp notes of the cool season leading up to winter. Using simple painting techniques to add color contrast, as well as highlights and shadows, you'll bring the image to life with a 3-d photo realistic quality with a hint of an illustration storybook narrative style to it.
