In this vid:
Shōnen was a monthly kids magazine that was mostly stories and articles with a few comics thrown in, but became the home for one of the most recognizable anime and manga characters ever created, Tetsuwan Atomu (Mighty Atom, Astro Boy) by TEZUKA Osamu who I lovingly call The Tez and who was only 23 (!!) when this ish was published.
I also flip through a few earlier ishes of Shōnen for some context and show the direction that the mag was taking (ie. adding more and more comics).
