Wallas 40 Dt Install - Pacific NW Boater TESTED

In an effort to be more comfortable during our Pacific NW winters, with the freedom to go drop the hook even if it's freezing out, we installed a new Wallas 40 Dt Forced Air Diesel Heater from Scan Marine Equipment in Seattle. We compared the Wallas to Espar and Webasto, and while the other two have slightly higher BTU output, the Wallas was by far more energy efficient with better fuel economy. It's also known as the quietest of the marine forced air systems, which any neighboring boats will appreciate!

We're very happy with the performance of our Wallas heater. You can hardly hear it running from outside the boat. And while in our slip we no longer rely on electric heat to stay warm.
