I finally received my GT1 back after waiting about 3 months since I submitted my warranty claim.

When I received it, there was a lot of damage to the scooter from the shipping process. They had originally picked it up in a flat bed truck, unsecured so it clearly slid around in the back of the truck and took damage.

Not the worst warranty experience I’ve ever had, but definitely a really bad experience.

I would never buy or recommend another Segway again, except the G30P I have one of those and it works well.

Segway did make it clear they saw my videos, and they asked me to take them down to which I told them “under no circumstances will I take my videos down”.

I think the warranty process being this bad, even though they knew about my videos leads me to believe my experience may have been worse had I not documented my experience on YouTube.

Make your own decision on what you want, this video is only meant to help others make better informed decisions when purchasing their next electric scooter.

I think if you live close to a warranty repair center it will probably not take as long for repair, and hopefully would not sustain damage like my scooter.

In my situation I live in Florida, and there are no warranty repair centers in Florida. They shipped my scooter all the way to California for repairs.

I will post my next video letting you all know if they fixed the range, and what my real world range finally is after warranty repair.

Unfortunately all the damage to my scooter will make reselling it difficult, so I’m stuck with it now.
