The updated Gifted Education Programme will not have a specific assessment period, which will allow students to develop at their own pace.

Education Minister Chan Chun Sing said on Aug 19 that the teaching pedagogy will now also be tailored to the student’s capabilities, instead of the previous approach of “teaching to the average”.
