Heavy use can cause a great deal of oil to vent through the crankcase vent. Your engine’s PCV system feeds this waste oil back into the intake system for burning in the cylinders. However, the oil can dilute fuel and lower octane. The J&L V3.0 Black Oil Separator catches the oil fumes from the crankcase vent, storing them for occasional safe disposal. Version 3.0. J&L improved on the designed of its old Oil Separator with the introduction of the new and improved Version 3.0. The first big change you will notice is that the Version 3.0 Separator has a larger 3 oz. capacity, that is almost double that of its previous model. Another important difference is the filter media. Older J&L Separators used a Ford Motorcraft pre-filter, but now J&L uses a 1/2" thick 1/16th" aluminum honeycomb filter with a mesh stainless steel screen to trap even more fine oil vapors than before. That helps prevent them from gumming up your engine.

The included PCV silicone hoses feature pre-attached stock-style quick-disconnect fittings making J&L's Catch Can a true plug-n-play upgrade. All the necessary brackets and hardware are included with no cutting or extra modifications required.

This J&L Oil Separator Company Air/Oil Separator is not CARB certified at this time; therefore, it is not legal for use in California or other states adopting California emission standards.
