Our third port on our SF to Fort Lauderdale Princess Cruise through the Panama Canal was Panama City. We took an excursion that visited the observation tower of the Old Panama Canal Locks and a walking tour of the old city.
We viewed the last ship of the morning go through the locks, watching the water lower and the mules lead the ship through while being narrated. So informative! Next we went on a walking tour of Old Panama City. We learned the history of how the city came to be, how pirates burned it down and where the city resides today. We learned about the different architecture influences and saw may government buildings of Panama.
