Dry Electrostatic Precipitators

With BETH® Dry Electrostatic Precipitator Filters it is possible to separate finest dust particles from process gases up to a temperature of 790°F (420°C) by artificial electric charging. Therefore it is mostly used for hot-gas dedusting of incineration plants and in metal production.

Dry Electrostatic Precipitators

Functional Principal:

The dust-laden process gas enters the electrostatic precipitator horizontally and is brought to a consistent flow pattern through distribution of gas throughout the entire filter profile. Through the discharge electrodes positioned between the collecting plates, an electric field is built up by means of high- voltage, and the dust particles are electrically charged. On their way through the electric field, the electrically charged particles are transported to the collecting electrodes through the electric field intensities where they agglomerate with the already separated dust particles and are tapped off through the drop hammers. The tapped off dust layer falls into the filter hopper and is discharged via the dust extraction system. The cleaned gas leaves the filter through the fan hood.
