Gran Turismo 7 - Custom 20 Car Race At Special Stage Route X #44

Was not expecting to find myself here again just over a month after doing the last race. But I ended up doing a lot more livery overhauls on a number of my cars over the last month, many of which I did not think I'd end up doing. But in my seemingly never ending quest to make my ever growing garage as perfect as it can possibly be, I guess it all just sort of happened. Of course the latest update that dropped yesterday (1.48) also helped in completing the lineup so episode 44 of our half-hour speed wars is surprisingly here. Although this will definitely for real this time be the last of these for a while. 4 of the 5 new cars added are featured here. The highlight of the update being the 2000 JGTC championship winning car, the Castrol Mugen Honda NSX. Along with the Nissan Skyline R31, '93 Honda Civic, and the '93 Volvo Estate as Volvo debuts in the game finally. With the one car I didn't get being the other Volvo that was added. But I also got the last of the cars from update 1.44, The Lamborghini Urus.

Also bought a couple more cars that aren't new like the Gr.4 Volkswagen Scirocco and the Aston Martin DBR9 GT1. All of which finally helped pushed my total to over 400 cars finally. Of course to go along with the update's new cars is 5 more new engine swaps. With this one being a very Honda themed update, including one for the new '93 Civic that was just added. 9 major livery overhauls in total here. Such as the Denso Sard livery on my Gr.4 Supra being moved to the Gr.3 car and swapping the livery on the Gr.4 car with an iconic livery from NFS Most Wanted. While the previous livery on my Gr.3 Honda NSX, which I previously did a huge makeover on to resemble the 2000 JGTC Castrol NSX, much closer than it previously already was. Until, sure enough, the actual car ended up getting was added this update. So I changed it again to resemble the 1999 JGTC RAYBRIG NSX with the iconic bluish-purple paint with green rims.

Also one last unrelated thing, I stopped using flat floors on my cars. Which makes the aerodynamics under the car more efficient making the cars faster. But they're just too damn ugly for me to even stand looking at anymore. So I bit the bullet and took them off almost all my cars that had them, readjusting the gears to accommodate the lower speeds to minimize the losses. Although weirdly on a select few cars like the C7 Corvette, it was actually faster without a flat floor. So I guess you never know until you try. Did this race at night in heavy cloudy weather. This track has a surprisingly ominous atmosphere to it in these conditions that I never realized until now.
