Director Lukas Dhont discusses his creative process, from sources of inspiration to poetical and philosophical themes underpinning his films.

Close is one of the 5 films nominated for the LUX Audience Award 2023, the European Parliament’s prize supporting European cinema. A coming-of-age drama about friendship and responsibility, the film follows two teenage boys whose close bond is suddenly torn apart.
