What's up everybody! It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, will be checking out this power converter, now this is a dog bone style but it's going to take 50 Amp plug like this. You can plug it in and converts it to a 30 Amp plug that way you can plug it in at the campsite, if you don't have access to the 50 Amp. So this is gonna down convert to this and that way you still have some power. Let's check it out! Take a closer look at it you'll notice it is not the twist end style. So make sure if you have one of those to get a different adapter for that this one just plugs right in like that pretty simple stays on there nice and tight but isn't it really hard to get off there either, you kind of just have to fit on there, you have this good grip here on the sides, you can kinda grab your hands, your fingers, go on that part and help you kind of move it back and forth as you unplug it, which is good.

Because sometimes there's not enough to grab onto here on the plug and it takes quite a bit more to get that unplugged. We're over here at the generator and we get it fired up and then we're gonna plug in our 30 Amp. Once inside, we're gonna put on the lights, make sure it's working, seem like we got power. The dog bone style is the preferred adapter for most people. We see a lot of it in the comments.

I like how it comes on at a 90 degree angle so they can plug it into their outlet box and actually close the door on it. It's not that bulky adapter that sticks out and makes you unable to close the door. Now, the thing it does is there's a little bit of added extension here, takes a little bit more stress off the prongs. Sometimes when you have those bulky adapters to plug straight into I mean your plug there's a lot of stress with this heavy duty cord here pulling down on this constantly it could bend or damaged these over time. It's going to last a lot longer with that extra cord on there, just giving it a little bit of an easier hang.

Overall, I think it's a good thing to have. You never know what the campsite is gonna have when you get there. All the 50 Amp spots might be taken up. You need to down convert. I'd rather have this in the rig just in case.

So I can still have that power over the weekend. Well, thanks for hanging out and I hope this helps..
