Hey guys, HAPPY NEW YEARS! Hope your New Years and Christmas went well!
Welcome back to a new Lightning Quick Repairs video! Today we are going to repair my beloved Samsung Galaxy S8's display. It broke after I was attempting to replace the housing, and as my original display was slightly cracked, and the fact that OLEDs are incredibly fragile, it just ended up getting wrecked. That left me to use my iPhone SE shown near the end of the video for a few months as I was sourcing a suitable display. Found one, claimed to be genuine, but was rather a crap quality replacement. The seller being annoying, I couldn't get it sent back, so I bought one I found used off eBay that's original albeit with a small crack which I didn't mind. Today we are going to replace it!

Do remember though that this wasn't a full repair, as I didn't have the correct back glass, fingerprint sensor and adhesives as this display is indeed mainly temporary until I find a display without a frame for a project I want to do. Eitherway the process is still the same, and if you are fully repairing it, you can watch a previous LQR video I made with Daniel from Plainapple287 replacing his back glass which is the last bit.
