Biz and Mariel on a scenic hike of the Deogyusan Mountain
📍 Deogyusan Mountain
Located in the heart of the Baekdudaegan mountain range,
this national park is home to South Korea’s fourth-highest peak
and was designated as the country’s 10th national park.
Renowned for its pristine environment and variety of wildflowers,
it is particularly famous for its snowflake trekking.
📍 Gondola
With the gondola that takes you to Seolcheonbong Peak at an elevation
of 1,520 meters in just 15 minutes, anyone can easily reach the
summit of Deogyusan Mountain and enjoy the winter scenery. Once at
the top, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Baekje Mountain, Maisan
Mountain, Gaya Mountain, Jirisan Mountain, Gyeryongsan Mountain, and
Mudeungsan Mountain all at once.
📍 Seolcheonbong Peak
At the 1,520m peak, there is a restaurant where you can have a meal,
as well as a rest area where you can purchase various hiking supplies
and snacks. It is a popular spot not only for hikers heading to
Hyangjeokbong but also for tourists, offering beautiful scenic views
of the surroundings.
📍 Hyangjeokbong Peak
Deogyusan Mountain, the highest peak located at the boundary
between Deoksan-ri, Anseong-myeon, Muju-gun, and
Simgok-ri, Seolchun-myeon, is the fourth highest mountain in
South Korea. It is considered the 33rd scenic spot among the
33 views of Muju, and its name carries the meaning of
being a mountain of a mother who is full of virtue and generosity.
