Video showing a kangaroo hopping down streets emptied by coronavirus restrictions in Adelaide, South Australia on Sunday has gone viral.

Surveillance camera footage obtained from South Australia Police showed the grey kangaroo hopping through city streets in Adelaide's central business district, as social distancing rules meant that many workers are now working from home.

Australia's strict social distancing rules have slowed the spread infections to fewer than 40 cases a day. The country has recorded 6,617 cases of #coronavirus and 71 deaths since its first case in January. #covid19 #kangaroo #australia
