TWC 2021 finally arrived, and I was placed at the front of it as the second overall match, on the first day too. It was unexpectedly sooner than I anticipated and got naturally worried at first, but it ended up being easily my most important play by far. The previous WR was 11,7b, which was also by me from 3 days ago, which in turn replaced the previous longstanding WR of 10,8b by player Niboshi.

The run was very clean and well executed, and though there were small errors mostly in the early game by picking a few non-otter tokens in a few areas, there's essentially nothing that I can complain about. The run continues and is very good until Keiki's second nonspell, where I accidentally get hit and break a hyper which was unfortunate. It forced me to die an extra time in order to properly hyper it, resulting in one less hyper used on her fourth nonspell, which gives a lot of score. Outside of those two instances, the run was essentially flawless.

My personal favourite moment of mine was actually the beginning of Stage 5, because I messed it up slightly and was forced to use 1 more bomb than I was supposed to, completely throwing me off my usual route. As such, it was impossible to properly use a bomb to time the second hyper before Mayumi midboss to cancel the pink ring fairies that come right after the spinning fairies. Somehow, by miracle, when the spin fairy hyper ended, I was rewarded with two otter tokens, which was incredibly important in continuing the planned route. That is a 1/9 chance, relying on two random tokens to both be green otters. It would be ignorant of me to say that this run did not involve a great amount of fortune and luck, and I am very grateful for having that.

This is my proudest run by far, and will probably remain like that for a long while, even with more impressive achievements earned, due to the context involved the run. Though I could easily improve it to 12 billion, I think I will leave it as it is, as a goal for other players to beat in order to increase player activity in the game. It is also because this run is 1000x more meaningful to me than a objectively cleaner run that I could do afterwards, because of the aforementioned context.

The future looks bright, and I am very eager to see what the future holds for me.
