Day 2 of 10, of the Tour of Idaho. The second day of the Tour takes us from Pocatello Idaho to Arco Idaho. Total mileage for the day was 270, but what makes Day 2 so unique compared to the rest of the Tour is that this is known as the "Desert Day". When riding South to North, there is only one way to access the core of the mountains in central Idaho and that is to navigate across the Snake River Plain.
We were favored with reasonably moderate temperatures for the second week of August, as the intense heat is often a big variable impacting the enjoyment factor of Day 2 for Tour riders.
