When cells multiply uncontrollably, they form a lump, which is known as a tumor in medical language.

1:2 How many different kinds of lumps are there?
There are two varieties of lumps.
1. Cancerous tumor
2. Benign tumor and non-cancerous tumor are medical names for a non-cancerous mass.

1:50 What is the distinction between a tumor and cancer?
The cancerous lump is rapidly growing and spread to nearby organs as well as other organs.
and non-cancerous tumors do not spread to surrounding organs or other organs, and their growth is gradual.

Non-cancerous lumps or benign tumors include fibroids, fibroadenoma, Lipoma, meningioma, and osteoma.

About Dr. Praveen Kammar
Dr Praveen Kammar is a surgical oncologist practising in the city of Mumbai.
He completed his MCh course in surgical oncology from the reputed Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai, one of the premier cancer care centres in the country. He also holds a fellowship in Colorectal surgery from Yopnsei cancer centre, Seoul, South Korea.
