Gameplay and Plot:
Horizon Forbidden West continues the story of Aloy six months after Zero Dawn. A mysterious blight is killing plant and animal life in the American West forcing Aloy to travel to the Forbidden West to find a cure. The open world is filled with robotic creatures to hunt human tribes to ally or fight towering machines to climb and ancient ruins to explore. Combat mixes bow archery traps elemental weaknesses and melee with deeper skill trees and weapon crafting. Underwater exploration and gliding add new traversal options. The story involves Sylens new allies like Varl and Erend and revelations about the old world's collapse.
