The 1929 Gibson L1 ‘Robert Johnson’ - Guitar Stories #7 with The Washboard Resonators

Guitar story #7 and this time we make 25 year dream come true.

The Gibson L1 is associated with delta blues legend Robert Johnson due to the Memphis portrait photo.

After pouring over photos of these since the mid 1990s and hoping to one day get one the dream came true in October 2020.

This is a 1929 one with sunburst finish exactly like RJ’s. It sounds great and hopefully this comes across on the film.
