This video tutorial is about making a fairy shop out of cardboard. You will need cardboard, a jar, paper clay, hot glue and acrylic paint.
I start by gluing the cardboard walls and roof to the jar. The door and windows were cut before the actual gluing. Please stop asking for patterns. You will have a different jar and you can make a totally different house, you don't have to make this exact one. You can't go wrong if you try and draw some windows and a door. Worst case scenario you wasted some cardboard. After you glue the basic shape together you can start adding thickness to the door and windows by adding some stripes of cardboard to the edges. I added the cardboard shingles to the roof. I also made door and windows out of paper clay.
Next step is adding paper clay to the walls. When the first layer has dried it's time for adding details and textures. I added wooden beams here and there, some rocks and something you haven't seen me doing before... roof drains. I think they add so much character to the little house.
I used acrylics to paint the house. I applied light basic colors first for all the elements and added very diluted shades in the end to create contrast.
That's it. It can be an awesome piece of decor, or you can add some LED's under the house and make it a fairy lamp for the children room.
