Dr. Jordan Rogers continues preaching through the Book of 1 Timothy in this sermon from 1 Timothy 6:1-2 entitled, "Diligently Guarding Our Souls and the Gospel."

The people and things you value most are those which you in turn most diligently guard.

There is nothing more valuable to a person than their own soul, and so we must guard ourselves from all sin, lest we be drawn away from the Lord. Furthermore, our pastors must diligently guard the ministry of the Gospel, for it is the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by which we are saved through faith. We must diligently guard ourselves and the ministry of the Gospel because of the incomparable worth and consequence of eternal life.

The following is a sermon from 1 Timothy 6:2b-21 and below you will find the video recording and a sermon outline to help you follow along as you watch. I hope this study tool helps you grow in your love for the Lord Jesus and in your obedience to Him.
