How your wrists move through the swing, in particular from transition to impact, can mean the difference between hitting it how you want or crooked.

In this short video I give a few different ways to improve your wrist conditions.

Option #1
A common coat hanger is a simple and very effective way to practice making sure your wrists are working correctly.
1) Simply put half the hangar on the target side of your grip and the other half extending from the butt end of the club.
2) take your grip and make sure the hangar is flush against the inside forearm if your lead arm.
3) make slow swings while never allowing the hangar to detach from the inside part of the lead forearm.
4) continue with this and as you get better increase the speed at which you swing until you can reach full speed AND the hangar never leaves the forearm.

Option #2
1) grip a hula hoop in a similar fashion you would hold your grip. Your body should be inside the hula hoop. Grip side in front of you and the rear portion behind you.
2) make a back swing as the hula hoop rotates around you
3) as you begin your transition, bow your lead wrist (as you move into the downswing) enough that the rear portion of the hula hoop starts to move above and over your head.
4) continue bowing your left wrist all the way to impact and by now the hula hoops should be in front of you (due to the bowing of the lead wrist.

The Golf Paradigm is a theory that encompasses a Whole-In-One approach to improvement. It begins with the overall paradigm; i.e. the game of golf. Followed by two parts that are always to remain in balance; i.e. the golf yin/yang - ‘improving’ and ‘enjoyment’. Knowing which area to focus on and how the other areas supplement that helps to form the golfers ‘recipe’ for improvement.
