I never thought I would see the day that the prophecy in Amos would be fulfilled in my lifetime, but here we are. We wonder why there is no conviction of sin anymore in our churches. Sinners feel very comfortable in pretty much any church today. I believe prophecy as recorded in the book of Amos has begun in churches all over the world but especially here in America, we have turned our back on God and HE has sent a famine on the land.
Amos 8:11-12 (NKJV)
11 "Behold, the days are coming," says the Lord GOD, "That I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine of bread, Nor a thirst for water, But of hearing the words of the LORD.
12 They shall wander from sea to sea, And from north to east; They shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the LORD, But shall not find it.

The sad thing is most Christians are living in a spiritual fog and can't even discern this. Little by little Satan has deceived church leaders that growing your church size is what really matters. Bringing in worldly entertainment and hirelings for shepherds replacing true shepherds who only trust Gods word and not the latest schemes on Church growth. I always thought the Lord would add to the Church according to His will.

Galatians 5:7-9 (NKJV)
7 You ran well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth?
8 This persuasion does not come from Him who calls you.
9 A little leaven leavens the whole lump.
Relying on God is no longer needed in the Apostate modern day Laodicean Church just gimmicks and showmanship.
The Apostle Paul warned us this time was coming and is now here.

1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.
