Budget Overland Trailer Build Pt2 - DIY Deck Lid, Gas Struts & Mounting an RTT

It all started off as a Lowe’s utility trailer. In episode part 1 We striped the trailer down to it’s bare bones and built it back up! Started with beefing up the trailers base and tongue, then installed a new 2k lbs axle and installation kit. This allowed us to adapt larger BFG 33” mud terrain tires wrapped around 17” JKU take off wheels.

Now Join me In episode Part 2 of the offroad trailer build , as I continue the plan to fabricate and install a new deck lid for the trailer that will double as lockable storage and provide a solid mounting solution for our Rooftop tent. We also install a few other goodies, like a tongue box for additional storage, some recovery tracks, as well as repurpose some old leveling Jacks I saved laying around!
