Wild Strawberry - Fragaria virginiana

In this video I identify and describe wild strawberry - Fragaria virginiana. Wild strawberries are edible, and the leaves can be used to make a medicinal tea. Wild strawberry fruit can be used to make strawberry jam, strawberry wine, strawberry syrup, added to strawberry shortcakes and any other thing you might use domesticated strawberries for. They are delicious and nutritious. In this video, another wild strawberry, Fragaria vesca, is also described and identification points are shown to help distinguish between the two species. However, this is likely not really necessary other than for interest because both strawberries are edible, and the strawberry leaves of both can be used to make a medicinal tea.
