Building off an extensive body of work that spans the last two decades, the governments of Canada, British Columbia and Coastal First Nations are now presenting a comprehensive plan for a network of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) off BC's North Pacific Coast.

After completing the action plan to guide implementation in 2022, planners aim to have the MPA network in place by 2025.
