Animash - Saviour

Описание к видео Animash - Saviour

New updated intro video! I was starting to get really disturbed by the "head-only" first version, so I included his whole body instead. It was not easy trying to fit his whole body on a single letter so I ended up with him hanging... which is not very "alpha"-wolf-like but oh well. He could have fun. =]

Response from a friend: "What looks ridiculous? Alphas don't always look majestic, they get into ridiculous positionings also."
Me: "I will try to take that as a compliment."

Animations are not easy! Especially doing them frame-by-frame and making them really smooth. The only programme I have to work with is Photoshop and having 130 frames and 8 seconds in length was really bugging it. I had perform multiple renders. If anyone knows of a better workflow/software, please let me know. I did not use Adobe Flash because I wanted my animation to have the classic 2D animation feel, not vector style.

I used a frame from my intro as my FB cover page an hour before uploading this video:   / wolfkodi

On to the song. I managed to connect with this emotionally aspiring song. The lyrics meant a lot to me especially the part "I just wanna BE so much!". You might wonder about all the arrows in this video, well, they point us to the right direction.

This video was made entirely in Sony Vegas Pro 10. No, I have not tried the latest version 12 yet but I heard it's a lot less buggy than 11. The intro video is done in After Effects.

Do I have a feeling that most people thinks I use AE and that it's the best out there? Might be good to note that I've been using purely SV Pro for the past 2 years. AE comes in only for my intro vid because of the "pixel burst" effect at 0:06 I would like to point out that it's not the programme but the person that plays the major role. SV, AE, Premiere, Pinnacle, CyberLink, Corel... knowing how to use yours well, that's the key.

I continue to discover new stuff in Sony Vegas after all the years I've used it. A personal compositing breakthrough is at 2:37. The background half of the rings are on layers behind the character while the foreground half are over it, all this while the rings rotate. This is made possible by the multiple levels of nested parent-and-child-layers you could use. It's amazing! Which version did Sony Vegas introduced this? I probably had up to 8 levels of nesting, turning the appearance of my timeline to vertical layered-cakes. hmm.. hungry. XD This effect is likely the cause of bumping my layer count to over 200.

Spelling differences: "Saviour" - British, "Savior" - American. My country, Malaysia, follows British English. My English pronunciations follow suit but I try to spell in American if my message is directed to one.

The four streams of light sweeps first introduced at 1:01 are timed to match the background music.

Awwoof! Thanks for reading! Awwoof!
