Pakistani Fighter pilot Marium Mukhtar (May 18, 1992 - November 24, 2015) remembered on third death anniversary
The third death anniversary of female fighter pilot, Flying Officer, Marium Mukhtar Shaheed is being observed today, reported by Radio Pakistan. She was the first female pilot of Pakistan Air Force who sacrificed her life in line of duty and attained Shahadat. She was on a mission when her trainer jet crashed near Kundian area of district Mianwali two years ago. Meanwhile, in his message on the third martyrdom anniversary of Marium Mukhtar, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that martyred pilot Marium Mukhtar is a pride of Pakistan as well as a symbol of bravery and courage for the nation. The Chief Minister said that talented daughters like her are a valuable asset of the country. He said that flying officer Marium Mukhtar was a capable, talented and high-spirited personality and her patriotism, steadfastness and bravery are an example for the younger generation. The Chief Minister said that in fact, she is a ray of light and the nations which have capable daughters like Marium Mukhtar always achieve success and glory.
