''The Terminaterror'' [LOST 80s SCI-FI MOVIE]

Where do you begin with ''The Terminaterror?''

Obviously inspired by a very successful sci-fi action movie from a few years earlier, 1987's ''The Terminaterror'' takes things a step further by adding three layers of time-travel to the movie's plot. Because surely that would make it better, right?

Right?

Molly Quiff (in her breakout role) stars as... well, she's never actually named in the script or on-screen. Indeed, aside from Henk Lindenberg's ''Terminaterror Robot'' none of the characters are actually given names (John Sexton's Lt Bilge doesn't count, as his ''role'' in the movie is limited to being a photo on a desk with his name above it.) But that doesn't seem to matter, as the plot is remarkably simple. Despite the promise of bootstrap paradoxes, alternate timelines and the Butterfly Effect, in reality we're treated instead to 68 minutes of Ms Quiff in a tank top (often wet) and Henk Lindenberg standing around looking stoic. Oh and mostly-immobile puppet dinosaurs, which were shot using in-camera effects (i.e. in front of the camera.)

But if you're a fan of LA's back alleys at night and dinosaur puppets, then maybe there's something here for you...
