A few days ago the first pieces of the new Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2021 antique inspired Piero Fornasetti collection launched. In this video we want to take a closer look at the LV designs of some of the handbags, like the classic Neverfull, the Neo Noe, the Speedy B 25, the Alma and the Capucines. The FW21 collection is designed by Nicolas Ghesquière and works with antique inspired elements like coins and drawings of statues from the Italian artist Piero Fornasetti and with classicist architecture, inspired by the old Greek and Roman style.
I'm a handbaglover and I have studied art history - so this are my thoughts on the new Piero Fornasetti collection - from the perspective of an art historian.
