Polly Plummer was the lead singer at WBAP radio in 1930 until she was asked to sing with the Herbie Kay band in the summer of 1931. After that summer, she enrolled in TWU (Texas Woman's University). Ms. Plummer made her comeback in 1971 when she noticed all the old songs she had sung were being played on television and radio.

Charlie Pabst (aka Charles Pabst) was Polly's accompanist starting in 1975 when he became unhappy with retirement. Mr. Pabst taught himself to play the piano and developed his own special system of writing music.
