2024 Fred Roberts Memorial

Описание к видео 2024 Fred Roberts Memorial

I met Nita in 1977 when I went back to work as a legal secretary in Watsonville after giving birth to Jason. He was three at the time. Nita worked in the law office where I was hired. We were friends immediately. She had a son, Daniel, who was three, too.

A few months after I was hired, Nita took a job in Santa Cruz as legal secretary to Bob Yonts. We stayed in contact and talked on the phone frequently. Later on, Nita recommended me for a job where she worked and I became a legal secretary/paralegal working with her again.

At some point we introduced our husbands and Frank and Fred became best of friends as well. They golfed together many times, we double dated and we partied together for every imaginable occasion. We went to each other's kids' various sports (Jason and Dan ended up playing pony league together), graduations, weddings, and even family members' memorials. We became family.

Frank and I both love Nita and Fred and were so sad to hear of his illness and so soon thereafter of his death. We are only glad that he didn't suffer. He was cheerful and upbeat the last time we talked to him - five days before he passed over. There are no words to express how much he meant to us.
