Alyssa's story aHUS

At 21 years old Alyssa went through renal failure and was diagnosed with aHUS. After two years of being on dialysis she was blessed to get a kidney transplant. Fighting a life threatening disease is always a scary proposition. But, when dealing with an illness that only impacts 300 others, research and support become very delicate issues. The Deff's want to take time on this special day to thank all that have supported Lyss over the last three years. You continue to have a positive impact on how Lyss is able to lead her life, while dealing with aHUS on a daily basis.
